If you ever need to groove in slow motion, like a lazy jellyfish or a lava lamp perhaps, Glass Animals should most definitely be your soundtrack... Especially this track.
I think what I like most about Regina Spektor is her lyrical content... Well, that and her phrasing... and the fact that she doesn't really fit a mold. That doesn't mean that I like all of her stuff ("That Time"), but much of it is brilliant ("Samson", "Laughing With", "All The Rowboats") and I do admire all of it.
Whoa! Where did these guys come from? The lead singer cracks me up with his repetitive hand gestures, but I find them very intriguing musically... Definitely check out their album "Mondo".
It's Summer! Well, technically tomorrow is. But still... IT'S SUMMER!!! And that means traveling. Vacation. Road trips. Weekend getaways. Discovering new parts of the city you live in. Whatever. Here is a playlist to get you out and about. What are some of your favorite songs to listen to when you travel?
David Gray is one of those artists I often forget about for long periods of time, but every time I do remember to give him a listen, I'm always glad that I did. Has he really been putting music out for 20 years? Craziness! Cheers to you, Mr. Gray! Here's to 20 more years! Also, check out his most recent album, "Mutineers" that released yesterday.
